10 Chambers have announced that they are confident to release GTFO from Early Access this year. In addition, the team launched an extension for the current Rundown, Rebirth, called Rebirth: // EXTENDED.
Ulf Andersson, Creative Director:
“We’ve put together a fairly extensive list of features that we want in GTFO 1.0; we’ve always wanted the 1.0 launch to feel. The transition from Early Access to version 1.0 will be visible in this game – and we are confident that this transition will take place this year. “
The new Rebirth: // EXTENDED update is available now and is free for anyone who owns GTFO.
Rundown adds five new expeditions to the eight existing ones, making it the most extensive Rundown to date, with just 13 expeditions. It also introduces a new objective in which you and your comrades have to survive hordes of enemy waves for 30 minutes while advancing the expedition, solving difficult tasks such as hacking terminals.
Simon Wiklund, artistic director and composer, added:
“The beauty of the Rundown concept is that we can challenge our community with each new challenge and see how they are accepted. The community can always be excited about what comes next, and we will have more fun developing as well. It keeps us on our toes. The new Horde Target will require some high levels of stress relief from our prisoners. “
