The film was a huge success among both audiences and critics, and is scheduled for digital release on October 10.

How did Dead Reckoning Part One perform in theaters?
Like all the final chapters of the saga, McQuarrie’s latest work received critical acclaim. In fact, it received some of the best reviews of the series since Mission: Impossible – Fallout. Overall audience reaction to the film has also been positive, with a Rotten Tomatoes approval rating for Mission: Impossible 7 of 94%.
Unfortunately, however, the film was a victim of poor timing. Despite positive reviews, Mission: Impossible 7 stayed in theaters for less than two weeks before the release of Barbie and Oppenheimer. The hype generated by the Barbenheimer phenomenon largely overshadowed Cruise’s film, and the fact that Oppenheimer took over IMAX screens was also another blow.
With a budget inflated by approximately $290 million due to the COVID pandemic, McQuarrie’s film was expected to be a huge success.
