Last Sunday, October 1st, the 2023 Ironman 70.3 Barcelona took place, a triathlon event consisting of a 1.9km swim, a 90km bike and a 21.1km run. Unfortunately, during the cycling portion of the test, a horrific accident occurred that ultimately resulted in the death of one participant.
The cause was a serious incident between two athletes

Another athlete involved in the accident was also taken to the hospital for evaluation and treatment and has been discharged without serious injuries. The organization did not provide further details about the incident or cause of death.
