20240111 11 health centers in Extremadura open today (Thursday afternoon) to vaccinate target groups against influenza and coronavirus without appointment

The Extremadura Health Service (SES) has activated 11 health centers in various regions of the autonomous region to vaccinate target groups in the region against influenza and COVID-19 in an unusual way in the afternoon, without the need for an appointment. Therefore, the target groups for vaccination are people aged 60 years or above, children under this age who are at risk due to various diseases or pathologies, pregnant women in any trimester of pregnancy, and women in the postpartum period. Also included are those who live with someone who is immunosuppressed. The 11 health centers that will distribute the vaccine are the Zafra Health Center, which belongs to the Llerena-Zafra region; the Cerro del Viento Health Center and the Montijo Health Center, both located in the Valdepasillas neighborhood of Badajoz, both belong to the Badajoz Health District. Additionally, in the province, vaccinations will be carried out at the “Obispo Paulo” Urban Health Center III in Merida and the “San José” Health Center in Almendralejo; both belong to the Emeritus Health Area. The Don Benito-Villanueva region has scheduled vaccinations at the Don Benito Este Health Center and the Villanueva South Health Center. In the province of Cáceres, the target group will be able to go to the Navalmoral de la Mata health center belonging to the region; to the health center “La Data” in Placencia; to the Ciudad Coria hospital through the day hospital; and to Cáceres Zona Centro Health Center in Reis, located in the old “Virgen de la Montaña” hospital. Special vaccination events will be held on January 11, 12, 15, 16, 17, 18, and 19 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Regardless of whether these groups have the possibility to use the appointment system, all of this will last until January 31 next year.
