Virtus LuxArm Lumezzane Basketball player Samuel Dilas has died at the age of 24. The young man was pronounced dead at the Brescia Civil Hospital on Sunday, October 15.
His death shocked his followers and family as it was a fatal end for Samuel, who was hospitalized last Friday. Apparently, he went to the hospital two weeks ago to be treated for pneumonia.
When he returned to the emergency room, he had to undergo major intervention because his legs were completely swollen when he arrived: an alarming symptom of the blood clots he was beginning to suffer from.
Apparently, the blood clot was so extensive that doctors could do nothing to save his life. They could only stabilize the situation and put him into a coma. Within 24 hours, the player died of a heart attack.

An investigation is currently underway into the young man’s final hours, from the time he was discharged from hospital after suffering pneumonia two weeks ago to the start of his new hospitalization, including emergency intervention.
