24-year-old Cowboys star obsessed with Michael Jordan expresses undying desire for Bulls legend

Michael Jordan’s influence transcends the boundaries of basketball. Jordan is a true global icon, revered by people from all walks of life for his athleticism and winning mentality. Especially if you’re an athlete: you want to replicate what Jordan accomplished.

Cowboys star Micah Parsons, 24, is no exception. Parsons has admitted multiple times that he looks up to Jordan and wants to learn something from him to help him become a better athlete.

Micah Parsons wants to be like Michael Jordan

Some other well-known celebrities such as Jordan and Travis Scott were in attendance at that game. Responding to the photos of the VIP suite, Parsons said: “It’s a great suite. I mean… there’s so many Hall of Famers and greats in that suite, I wish I was in that suite.”

The 24-year-old went on to talk about Jordan, whom he hopes to meet one day. He said, “I mean, I’d really like to know Michael Jordan from a mentality standpoint, or how he comes in every week, how he proves his greatness every day.”

Parsons said Jordan and the late great Kobe Bryant were his favorite athletes. “He and Kobe are one of my favorite athletes. When it comes to mentality and screaming”. The young man is learning the ropes of the world of sports from two of arguably the greatest athletes in the history of the sport.

This isn’t the first time Parsons has talked about drawing inspiration from goats. In September 2022, when he was feeling a little under the weather but Monday Night Football was approaching, he posted a clip of Michael Jordan’s iconic game from the 1997 Flu. The 24-year-old has often cited MJ as his idol, even once using MJ as a role model after a mediocre game.

He said, “I had a good game and we won. But I don’t think Michael Jordan would have agreed to drop 15 points and they won… I should have higher expectations of myself.”. Parsons is definitely on the right track. The only thing he had to do was meet his idol. This might ignite a fire within him to strive only for greatness.
