The Grand Sultan declared in his first decree: “We, Haitham bin Tariq, Sultan of Oman, who after examining the basic system of the State and in accordance with the agreements between the Government of Oman and Palestine concerning the establishment of bilateral cooperation and consultation committees signed in Ramallah on 7 July 2023 and based on what the general interest requires, we have drawn up the following:

  • The first article of the first decree ratified the agreement referred to according to the attached formulas.

  • As for the second article, this decree has been published in the Amman Official Gazette, and will come into force from the date of issue.

  • The first decree was issued on 18 Safar 1445, dated 4 September 2023 AD

  • Decree no. 57/2023 ratifying the Air Services Agreement between the Government of Oman and the Government of Senegal.

Second decree

Sultan Haitham's decrees today

Sultan Haitham bin Tariq approved the second decree and stated: “We, Haitham bin Tariq, Sultan of Oman, have revised the state statute and reviewed the various air services agreements between the Sultanate of Oman and Senegal signed in Muscat on June 21, 2023, and based on what you need.” In the public interest, we have decided the following:

  • The first article of the second decree ratified the agreement referred to according to the model sent.

  • The second article provides that this decree is published in the Amman Official Gazette and takes effect from the date of its issuance.

  • This decree was issued on 18 Safar 1445, corresponding to September 4, 2023.

  • Decree no. 58/2023 approving Oman’s accession to the agreements concerning the establishment of the International Organization for Maritime Aids to Navigation.

The third decree

The following sultan stated: “We, Haitham bin Tariq, Sultan of Oman, have stated that after examining the main state system and the state agreement regarding the establishment of an international organization for the aid of maritime navigation in Paris on January 27, 2021, and based on what the public interest required, we decided the following:

  • First article of the third decree: “Approval for Oman to join the International Convention on aids to maritime navigation according to the forms sent”.

  • The second article “prescribes that this decree be published in the Official Journal and will be effective from the date of issue”.

  • This decree was issued on 18 Safar 1445, corresponding to 4 September 2023 AD

  • Decree no. 59/2023 establishing an Omani embassy in Australia.

Fourth decree

As for the fourth decree, it was issued by the Sultan as follows: “We, Haitham bin Tariq, Sultan of the State of Oman, have stated that after examining the basic system of the State and the law of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which was issued with Royal Decree no. 32/2008, and on the basis of what is required by everyone’s interest, we have decided the following:

  • The first article of the fourth decree provides for the establishment of an Omani embassy in Australia.

  • As for the second article, it provides that this decree is published in the Official Journal, and will be effective from the date of issue.

  • This decree was issued on 18 Safar 1445 AH on September 4, 2023.
