John Wick 4 boasts many interesting characters, so much so that it deserves spin-offs dedicated entirely to them. Let’s find out who these characters who appeared in Chapter 4 are.

There are various secondary characters in John Wick 4 which should appear again in some spin-off of the franchise. In Chapter 4, assassin John Wick (Keanu Reeves) struggles to free himself from the rule of the High Table once and for all. Along the way, he meets many new enemies and allies, including his old friend Caine (Donnie Yen), who is recruited, against his wishes, to eliminate John at the behest of the sinister High Table official, the Marquis de Gramont ( Bill Skarsgard).

The end of John Wick: Chapter 4 takes a surprising turn, with John eventually dying and being buried next to his wife Helen. Despite John’s death, the John Wick universe continues with two spin-offs, the TV series The Continental And Dancerstarring Ana de Armas (Reeves will return as John Wick, as the film is set before John Wick 4). Meanwhile, there are five standout characters in the film currently in theaters, who could easily headline their own spinoffs, as each would be able to continue to expand the John Wick universe in different directions.

1. Caine is among the characters of John Wick 4

Naturally when we think of a character spin-off from John Wick 4 Donnie Yen’s Caine immediately comes to mind. The latter has been a star in Hong Kong for decades, but John Wick: Chapter 4 is a western film that finally truly utilizes Yen’s skills. Yen’s fight scenes in the film are incredible, while his history as a friend of John’s, and the fact that he too was a “retired” assassin, demonstrates that there is much to explore in his past, which has not been fully revealed.

Caine’s rocky relationship with the High Table could form the basis for a spinoff, with Yen’s character willingly giving up his eyes for undisclosed reasons. The fact that Caine is forced to hunt down John with his daughter’s life at stake could also inspire feelings of vengeance within him. With such an ugly history between him and the High Table, Caine’s spinoff could potentially follow him on a revenge mission against it. Donnie Yen himself has expressed interest in the possibility of a spin-off of the character and, also considering the scene of the end credits, may have already been considered.

2. Bowery King

Close ally of Baba Yaga since John Wick: Chapter 2the Bowery King (Laurence Fishburne) returns in John Wick: Chapter 4 to provide more assistance to John’s fight for his freedom. As a leader of the underworld of homeless assassins, Bowery King has long been an ideal character for a spin-off and could be the perfect figure to further explore the assassin side of him.

The role of Bowery King has long implied that the killer culture is somewhat factionalised. Exploring that, along with the Bowery King’s role as a leader in the homeless population of murderers, is among the many stories his spinoff could delve into. The Bowery King’s defiance of the rules of the Grand Table and his relationship with them, after John defeats the Marquis de Gramont, could be another aspect to focus on in a spin-off or prequel to John Wick. Plus, John’s lovable pit bull will also likely return, having switched to the Bowery King at the end of John Wick: Chapter 4

3. Mr. Nobody / Tracker among the characters of John Wick 4 that deserve the spin-off

Shamier Anderson’s Tracker, who calls himself “Mr. Nobody”, is another amazing supporting character in John Wick: Chapter 4. Tasked with locating John by the Marquis de Gramont, the role of Mr. Nobody in the film single-handedly introduces the concept of the tracker, entirely new to the franchise, which serves as a link to the High Table; just this role could be explored further in a spin-off of Mr. Nobody. Additionally, Mr. Nobody is himself a highly capable mercenary and sharpshooter, with his loyal German Shepherd a close ally of him in the mission.

In addition to being a mysterious and compelling character, Mr. Nobody’s canine companion could also imply a connection between him and Sofia (Halle Berry) of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum. This could potentially bring Sofia back into a new John Wick franchise story, perhaps revealing that she was once a tracker herself before becoming manager of Morocco Continental. As two acquaintances of John Wick, each with very different backstories, a collaboration between Mr. Nobody and Sofia could make for a great spin-off featuring both characters.

4. Akira

Akira (Rina Sawayama) is another new character introduced in John Wick 4, where she plays the daughter of the manager of the Osaka Continental, Shimazu Koji (Hiroyuki Sanada); this character could easily be the star of its own spin-off. In the Chapter 4 battle of the Osaka Continental, Akira is a force to be reckoned with in her skills with blades and arrows. Also, the film allows her storyline to continue and interact with Caine’s; the latter has, in fact, killed her father and the girl swears revenge.

The post-credits scene from Chapter 4 shows Akira preparing to face Caine in Paris. However, Caine himself was in a bad situation as his daughter’s life was put in jeopardy, which puts their conflict in a gray area. This is a story really worth continuing in a spin-off. The possibilities for Akira’s future don’t have to stop there either. After Shimazu’s death, Akira becomes heiress of the Osaka Continental, and this makes her one of the main protagonists in the world of assassins, providing a solid basis for her spin-off in the universe of John Wick

Killa could be returning as another character’s story antagonist before John Wick: Chapter 4 or in its own spin-off that explores his evil origins. With Adkins already a revered martial arts star, her performance and the way she looks (via a fat suit) as Killa is radically different from anything she’s done before; that makes Scott Adkins standout in John Wick: Chapter 4.
