In the world of cinema and the small screen there are some rather recurring and famous themes, one of these concerns i time travel and among the multitude of films and TV series made there is a rather iconic saga, namely that of Back to the future. Although this is probably the most famous, there are other films and TV series that deserve to be seen, both because they perhaps offer simple entertainment but also because they often develop this theme in a more complex way and with a thicker plot.

However, the story is much more complex and it seems that everything, including the formation of the same group, is actually part of a larger plan.
5) Predestinaton

Time travel film written and directed by Michael and Peter Spierigtar in 2014, features stars such as Ethan Hawke, Sarah Snook and Noah Taylor. The story sees a law enforcement agent stop the explosion of a bomb in March 1975, the man is seriously injured and considers the event a failure since the bomber manages to escape thanks to a device that allows him to travel in time. In fact, he carries the bomb another day and causes the death of over 10,000 people. The agent is also forced to retire early from work, both for the significant injuries found and because that event seems to have taken over his career, in fact it becomes his obsession and primary objective to capture the man.

TV series produced starting from May 2012 and finished in 2015. Also here obviously there are time travel, the story focuses on the conflict between a group of terrorists from 2077 who travel through time and arrive in Vancouver, British Columbia in 2012 and a policeman who accidentally goes with them. However, the conflict does not end despite having gone back 65 years, indeed the terrorists continue with their attacks to stop the corporations of their era, corporations that have replaced almost all the governments in the world. Obviously the same happens with the police people who continue to fight to stop them, all this without revealing to others that they came from the future.

Written, produced and directed by Christopher Nolan and with an equally important cast: Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain and Matt Damon. The story is set in 2067 and presents an earth afflicted by a global famine, which pushes humanity to concentrate all economic resources on research to solve the problem. In this context, activities such as space travel and scientific activities of this kind in general are set aside, but this ends when a man (former NASA engineer) and his daughter discover a rather singular physical phenomenon that takes them directly to what turns out to be a center NASA secret. Thus the possibility of saving the world arises, to do so the protagonist travels through space in which enormous problems arise, many of which are related to time travel and its scrolling.

The story is set in 2015 and in a world invaded by Mimics, an alien species that reaches the earth thanks to an asteroid and almost immediately conquers much of Europe. The battles continue for years and despite the efforts humans never win, that changes in 2020 when a team of soldiers achieve victory. At this point an army major is demoted and sent to France for a counteroffensive of the human race, the man is quickly trained and thus begins his ordeal. In the battle the man dies but wakes up and relives the same things as the previous day, thus begins his mission: to save the world and make someone believe his words.
