6 Ways ‘White Lotus’ Star Aubrey Plaza Stays Slim, According to Her Trainer – Celebwell

Known for her deadpan humor and for making her characters so relatable that people talk about them years later (April Ludgate – Parks and Recreation), Aubrey Plaza is a force who can do it all: television, film, theater and production. The talented star recently received her first Emmy nomination for her role in the dark comedy. White Lotus and will soon make her stage debut in an Off-Broadway show. Danny and the Deep Blue Sea. Patrick, who has worked with A-listers Jennifer Lawrence, Keanu Reeves, Zac Efron and Cameron Diaz, exclusively tells Celebwell how he helps get Plaza into incredible shape.

Many people don’t think about good posture, but proper posture and sitting have important benefits, including improved spine and neck health, improved breathing, reduced headaches, increased energy and more. “Corrective exercise causes positive adaptation,” Murphy says. “We are in a world of automation, everything is in front of us. Our spine is constantly flexing and our arms are reaching forward all day long, with our shoulders long, raised, head forward, etc. He adds, “Fitness programs need to address our physical behavior. My job is also to show how you behave outside of the gym. Establishing optimal posture and alignment allows the client to be pain-free.” Murphy shares the posture exercises Plaza does below.

Basic corrective exercises performed by Plaza

– “Hip extensions on the mat (hip thrusts)

Strengthens muscles that become weak when sitting, i.e. the middle/lower back and buttocks.

– Mat Superman (full body extension)

Strengthens the posterior chain, that is, the upper and lower back.

– Belt horizontal return flights

Strengthens the middle/upper back and rear shoulders.

– Vertical belt “W” presses

Strengthens the upper shoulder girdle and neck.”

Murphy, who has studied nutrition for more than 25 years and is an expert in reducing body fat, emphasizes the importance of cardio. “Cardiorespiratory training is vital for combat roles,” he tells us. “Creating a heart of endurance allows talent to capture physical activity scenes over and over again. High-intensity training also challenges your nervous system and keeps you looking young.” Murphy gives us an inside look at Plaza’s cardio routine.

Cardio-breathing exercises:

— “Interval ski-ergometric exercises, 30 seconds work, 30 seconds rest, 8 rounds.

– Assault Bike Intervals, 20 seconds work, 10 seconds rest, 8 rounds.

– Wave of Inertia, 30 seconds work, 30 seconds rest, 8 rounds.

– Sleigh pushing x 10

– Rowing on an ergometer, 500 meters, 1 minute. Repeat rest 2 times.

Murphy also emphasizes how essential strength training is. “Increasing strength, muscle mass and bone density really slows down aging,” he says. “We use free weights, cables, bands and several machines.” Here are the strength training exercises Plaza does.

Strength exercises for Plaza

– “Cable Squat Combo”

A complex exercise covering the upper and lower body.

– Push ups

Upper body/core

– Walking lunges with dumbbells

All legs

– Gluteal driven hip thrust machine.

The posterior chain exercise is great for the glutes, thighs, and lower back.”

Murphy encourages all of her clients to lead a healthy lifestyle and avoid unhealthy foods. “Stay away from flour products, foods high in preservatives and alcohol.” He adds: “I created NUTRITION GUIDE which covers my fundamental approach to the entire diet. The food lists in the guide tell you what you can eat and what you can’t.”

Working out is just part of staying healthy; good nutrition is also important. “I instructed Aubrey to eat a nutritious diet,” Murphy says. She “limits all highly refined processed foods and beverages as much as possible.”

A busy schedule and rigorous workouts take a lot of energy, so Murphy also recommends plant-based foods to her clients. Clean energy nutrient-rich shots. He shares, “I train clients 10-12 hours a day, and I also need energy for my personal training. I have tried dozens of pre-workout powders, energy drinks, etc. I always crash in the middle of the day and then struggle with getting quality sleep. I’ve finally found an energy shot filled with amazing, high quality ingredients.”
