The former UNC baseball star represented the University of North Carolina before playing in the National League Championship Series.
Former UNC baseball star Zach Gallen will start for the Arizona Diamondbacks as the National League Championship Series begins Monday night.
Gallen met with the media on Sunday to discuss the upcoming series, and he took the opportunity to represent UNC in the process.

The former Tar Heel wears Michael Jordan University of North Carolina basketball warm-up shoes. When asked about Jordan’s mentality, Galen spoke of his careful study, admiring him for always being ready for the spotlight and never being afraid of the camera.
This mentality helped Gallen develop into one of the best pitchers in Major League Baseball. Gallen looks to continue his dominance on the mound in hopes of leading the Arizona Diamondbacks back to the World Series for the first time since 2001 and just the second time in franchise history.
