Heidi Klum has shared stunning swimsuit snaps from the early days of her modeling career as she faced backlash from fans after her controversial lingerie shoot with her daughter
Heidi Klum gave her fans a throwback by sharing a series of stunning swimsuit snaps from her teens that her mother discovered in her basement.
The former Sports Illustrated model took to social media this week to tell her fans about the start of her modeling career when she was just 19 years old. Heidi captioned the old photos: “Just like I look at photos and videos of models for (Germany’s Next Top Model), these photos were my entry photos for my 1992 modeling competition,” she added: “My mom brought me a box with many old photographs from the basement.
Vintage Polaroid snaps show young Heidi slaying all her better angels as she rocks flattering one-piece swimsuits. The young beauty was all smiles as she was seen straddling a chair in a multi-colored sparkly jumpsuit and posing with her hands on her hips in another flattering black ensemble.

Heidi has been walking the runways and dazzled the cameras for years now, having started her modeling career back in the 1990s. Heidi is known for her modeling, reality TV appearances on Germany’s Next Top Model and Project Runaway, and her work as a judge on America’s Got Talent. Her daughter Leni is following in her mom’s footsteps as she also pursues a career as a model, and the pair recently posed together in a controversial photo shoot.
Heidi, 50, is now under fire from fans after posing next to her 19-year-old daughter in her underwear. Heidi first drew criticism when she posed behind Leni in a modeling campaign for brand Intimissimi last year. The photos later resurfaced in May, with fans criticizing the photo shoot as awkward and “inappropriate.”
In an interview with the Daily Mail, Heidi opened up about the lingerie photo shoot, telling the news outlet: “Doing photo shoots with her (Leni) and just seeing how comfortable and comfortable she is around me, even when we’re filming. filming in lingerie or something like that.” She added: “I’m proud that my daughter feels very comfortable in front of me and around me, because not every child in the world is.”
