This year things are much better, especially the second half. In the first half of the year, I finally have to face what I couldn’t do a year ago. Finished adapting. At the Tour of Avila, the Tour of Salamanca and the Tour of Galicia I felt much better.”

There’s a casual feel to the way he rides his bike. “I grew up in Fonteta, a small town in western Asturias, and lived a quiet life. Normally, you would ride your bike, walk around, play there… One day a bicycle tour group passed by There, I was fascinated by those road bikes. So I ended up buying one and started riding. To this day.”
