Amid the ongoing feud between Chicago Bulls legends Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, Jordan’s son Marcus began dating Pippen’s ex-wife Larsa.
Larsa Pippen and Scottie were married for more than 20 years from 1997 to 2021 before divorcing. The former couple have four children together. In 2022, about a year after their divorce, Larsa began a relationship with Michael’s second son, Marcus.
The relationship between Larsa and Marcus is shocking in many ways. Not only is this a rivalry between the Pippen and Jordan families, but there’s also a 17-year age gap between 32-year-old Marcus and 49-year-old Larsa.
Although many considered the romance controversial and potentially divisive, Michael did not interfere with who Marcus dated.
“My dad’s biggest thing was, ‘You’re an adult,'” Marcus Jordan said in an interview. Pablo Torres found out. “Ultimately, as long as I’m happy, he’s happy. He never interfered with my dating life before Larsa, and he won’t start now,” via Sports Illustrated.
Perhaps even more shocking than the already crazy romance is the fact that if the two get married, Michael will be the best man at the wedding.
“I am best man At (my father’s) wedding, I was the best man at my brother’s wedding,” Marcus said. “Obviously, we’re going to keep that tradition going, that’s my idea. “
Both Larsa and Marcus have talked about planning their weddings, making it possible for Michael Jordan to serve as best man at the wedding of his son and Scottie’s ex-wife.
