Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen’s relationship has deteriorated over the years, and now the Chicago Bulls icon’s son is seeking to marry Pippen’s ex-wife, sparking controversy
Michael Jordan’s son Marcus is dating Scottie Pippen’s ex-wife Larsa, and the relationship between the former Chicago Bulls teammates has broken down.
Back in 1998, Jordan and Pippen won their third consecutive NBA championship and championship with the Bulls. The duo represented two key pillars of Chicago’s decade-long dominance of the league, establishing itself as one of the greatest sports dynasties in history.
Over the past 25 years, their relationship has grown cold. Things got especially bad when the 2020 Netflix documentary “The Last Dance” was released, with Pippen taking issue with Jordan, arguing that the forward was secondary rather than a equal to the six-time Finals MVP.
Now, Jordan’s son Marcus wants his father to be the best man when he marries Pippen’s ex-wife Larsa. This statement is interesting given that Larsa only divorced Pippen in 2021 and Jordan didn’t have his blessing in the relationship.

Back in July, Jordan was asked by paparazzi if he was okay with his son’s romance as he left a restaurant in Paris. The 60-year-old initially just shook his head in response, but when pressed again, he doubled down and yelled, “No!” On Tuesday, Marcus and Larsa appeared on the podcast Pablo Torre Finds Out and discussed wedding details. Marcus confirmed that a wedding is in the works and the location is still being discussed.
When asked if he expected his father to give a toast, Marcus said, “You know, look, I was the best man at his wedding and my brother’s wedding. “We’re going to continue that tradition. ” Marcus insists his father has actually always supported him, adding: “My dad’s biggest thing is, ‘You’re an adult’. At the end of the day, as long as I’m happy, he’s happy. “He never interfered with my dating life before Larsa and he won’t start now.”
The Real Housewives of Miami star and Marcus first dated in late 2022. Their relationship caused some controversy due to their 17-year age gap and the history between her ex-husband and his father, but they continued to enjoy each other’s company. Marcus and Larsa do admit that their relationship is weird. “Aesthetically, it probably doesn’t look good,” Larsa, who married Pippen in 1997, told Torre. “Just hearing about it, it doesn’t resonate with people.” “
