Netflix has announced the release on the platform of “Nuova Scene – Rhythm + Flow Italia”, a music competition dedicated to the world of rap in 2024. A ‘rap-show’ by all means, in which rappers Fabri Fibra, Giuliar and Rose Villain will travel between Rome, Naples and Milan in search of new talent in the Italian rap scene. The winner of the competition will receive a prize of 100,000 Euros.
The Fremantle-produced show will tell the competition over eight episodes, during which young rappers will star as protagonists as they test themselves with freestyles, rap battles, producing original songs. In addition, the three judges will be joined by other protagonists of the Italian rap scene.
“Nuova Scene – Rhythm + Flow Italia” is the Italian adaptation of “Rhythm + Flow”, the first musical talent show signed by Netflix, which debuted on the platform in 2019. The first season of the original production “Rhythm + Flow” stars International Superstars Cardi B, Chance the Rapper and Tip “T.I.” Harris scouring cities like Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta and Chicago for new hip-hop talent, featuring some of the industry’s top talent. Top names included. Netflix has already launched two seasons of “Rhythm + Flow: France” with judges SCH, Shay and Niska.

Gulab Villain, born as Rosa Luini, is a singer, writer and director with millions of streams to her name. Born in Milan and then moved to New York, in early 2023 she released her debut studio album, “Radio Gotham” (certified gold by FIMI/GfK Italia). She was among the artists who performed on stage at the Concertone del Primo Maggio in Rome. More recently, she co-starred in Achille Lauro’s single “Fragole”.
