LeBron James becomes latest player to take shot at Michigan State, Jim Harbaugh – OutKick

Everyone has something to say about Michigan’s cheating scandal and Jim Harbaugh’s suspension. So naturally, LeBron James has to be involved, too.

And he has jokes.

The four-time NBA champion lashed out at the Wolverines after the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Phoenix Suns on Friday night. Because Suns head coach Frank Vogel once coached the Lakers, LeBron’s team knows many of his signals.

In other words, the Lakers did a little sign-stealing themselves.

“The best thing tonight is we were able to get those signals and we were still able to play on Sunday,” James said. “We’re not going to get suspended like that team up north.”

Lyndon Johnson, looking northeast from where you are, but my point is valid.

He was, of course, referring to Harbaugh, who was suspended for the remainder of the regular season by Big Ten Commissioner Tony Petitti on Friday. Still, the Wolverines beat ninth-ranked Penn State even without their head coach.

The win improved Michigan’s record to 10-0 and made them a contender for a College Football Playoff berth.

But as a native of Columbus, Ohio, LeBron doesn’t like Big Blue. He’s an Ohio State fan. If the NBA had instituted “one-and-done” rules in his day, James might even have planned to go to school there in 2003.

Although LeBron is not suspended like Harbaugh, he likely won’t actually play in Sunday’s game against the Trail Blazers. As of Sunday morning, he was listed as questionable with a calf contusion.

If he can’t make it to the game, maybe he can go shoot the sidelines at Grizzlies games. You know, getting them ready for the next game.
