Metropolitan Cathedral begins preparations for Silver Anniversary of Immaculate Conception

The Metropolitan Cathedral of Guatemala City is preparing to commemorate the twentieth anniversary of the Immaculate Conception.

The last of the Children’s Procession on December 3rd, the Silver Wedding Procession in Intramuros on December 6th and the remainder of the Immaculate Conception Procession on December 9th are sold here.

Consecration and other ordination of the Immaculate Conception

On December 6, 1998, the venerable Archbishop of Guatemala, Mgr. icon.

Subsequently, in accordance with Papal Bull No. 139-03-L of Supreme Pope John Paul II, the privilege was granted to publicly perform the Coronation of the Icon. This solemn ceremony was held on December 5, 2004 by the President of Guatemala.
