If this teaser is any indication, Miami sneaker boutique SoleFly has released another Air Jordan collaboration.
New leaked images shared by SoleFly co-founder Carlos Prieto on Threads are of a sample version of the upcoming SoleFly x Air Jordan 8 collaboration. In addition to previewing the sneaker project, Prieto also confirmed that this iteration of the Jordan 8 is inspired by the Nike Air Diamond Turf.
Two sample versions of the SoleFly x Air Jordan 8 have released now, with one pair featuring a tonal black nubuck upper while the other pair features a gold quarter panel on the midfoot. One style features gold detailing on the cross straps, while the other comes in white. The collaboration also comes with a special gold SoleFly hangtag shaped like a baseball bat.
There is currently no release information about the SoleFly x Air Jordan 8 joint model. Please check back soon for official updates.
Update (11/16): After detailing their new collaboration in an interview with Complex last week, SoleFly’s Air Jordan 8 is set to release soon.
The Sail/Fossil-Varsity red-metallic gold colorway is inspired by the Miami-Cuban roots of SoleFly co-owners Danny Hidalgo and Carlos Prieto, as well as Michael Jordan Short baseball career. Paying homage to the latter, the shoe features a pre-yellowing finish that almost looks like it’s been worn on diamonds.
The SoleFly x Air Jordan 8 “Mi Casa, Su Casa” will release at Miami’s Calle Ocho Music Festival on December 8th, retailing for $225 USD. Online release details have yet to be confirmed.
