The two join the previously announced class of 2024 inductees, which will be recognized during Women’s History Month in March.
“The 2024 inductees include the scientists, activists, performers and athletes who are the changemakers of today and an inspiration to the women of tomorrow. Their dedication, drive and talent got them here, and we are thrilled to have them in the national Honor them on stage.” Jennifer GabrielHall of Fame CEO said in a statement.
A spokesperson said Williams and Bridges will be able to attend the ceremony after the date and location are adjusted. Next year, the National Women’s Hall of Fame ceremony will be held in New York City and will be televised nationwide.
Hall of Fame inductees are first nominated by the public and then selected by a committee.Other black nominees include lolita roseFounder of the National Center for Human Rights Education in Atlanta and Ph.D. Patricia Bassthe first black female doctor to receive a medical patent.
