With the beginning of the Amazonian winter, the period of greatest viral and influenza transmission in the region, the Ministry of Health has launched a year-long mobilization at the beginning of the fourth season (22) to encourage influenza vaccination in northern regions.
Today is December 15th, and the Normandy landing is planned for next Saturday (25th). An estimated 6.6 million people have been vaccinated. Foram sent 7,000 doses of its trivalent vaccine, which protects against the three most prevalent strains of the virus in Brazil.
Please note that the Ministry of Health emphasizes that the influenza vaccine can be administered together with other immunizers on the national vaccination calendar. Children who are vaccinated for the first time should receive two doses, 30 days apart between each dose.
We can vaccinate:
– Children from 6 months to under 6 years old;
– Aboriginal children aged 6 months to under 9 years old;
– health workers;
– Pregnant women;
– Puerperium;
– Teachers in basic and higher education;
– native inhabitants;
– 60 years or above;
– street people;
– Professionals of security and rescue forces;
– Armed Forces Professionals;
– People with chronic symptoms that are not contagious and people with other special clinical conditions (not related to humans);
– Persons suffering from permanent impairment;
– Camichoneros;
– Collective road transport workers (urban and long-distance);
– port workers;
– Officials of the system of deprivation of liberty;
– Population deprived of liberty, except adolescents and young adults (12 to 21 years old) who are subject to socio-educational measures.
