UNRWA previously announced that, as of November 19, around 1.7 million displaced people had been registered in the Gaza Strip following the escalation of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and around 930,000 people were hiding in 156 of the organisation’s centres. .
The Israeli government and Hamas have agreed to a 4-day truce to allow the release of 50 detainees in Gaza in exchange for the release of 150 Palestinians in Israeli prisons and the entry of humanitarian aid into the besieged Strip, according to efforts by Qatar and Egypt. .
The Gaza Ministry of Health announced that 14,128 Palestinians have been killed in ongoing Israeli shelling of the Gaza Strip since the war broke out on October 7. Among the deaths counted so far there are 5,840 children and 3,920 women. The bombing also injured another 33,000 people.
