Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is the oldest player in the NBA, and he’s also older than some of the league’s head coaches.
After the Lakers beat the Jazz on Tuesday night, James was asked if it “feels weird” that he is older than Jazz head coach Will Hardy.
James didn’t seem to understand the question at first, asking reporter Chris McGee to repeat it. After McGee clarified, James was really shocked.

James stammered:
“Oh wow. Oh my gosh. …This is a good thing. You made me understand that. “It’s crazy. “
Hardy, 35, is currently the youngest active head coach in the NBA.
But he’s not the only team leader younger than James. Celtics head coach Joe Mazzula (35) and Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault (38) are also younger than James.
However, these coaches may wish to keep this information private. While it’s not uncommon for people in the basketball community to joke about James’ age, it’s not the best idea either.
