As the Denver Broncos came back to beat the Minnesota Vikings 21-20 on Sunday night, wide receiver Jerry Jeudy had a message. 9News captured the moment as he got excited and chatted with two of sports’ biggest stars.
“Not one, not two, not three, but four,” Jeudy enthused on camera during the postgame celebrations. “What did that boy Deon say? What did that boy Deon say? We’re coming! “We’re coming! “
When it comes to the Broncos’ four-game winning streak, one can’t help but think of LeBron James’ famous declaration during his introductory press conference after joining the Miami Heat in 2010. “Not one, not two, not three, not four, not five, not six, not seven…” NBA champion James suggested that he, Dwyane Wade and Chris Poe Thirty people were brought to the city of Miami. James and his team won two championships (2012 and ’13) in four seasons with the Heat.
In the second part of his postgame statement, Jeudy referenced Deion Sanders’ infamous two-word exclamation: “Here we come!” Jeudy took inspiration from Coach Prime and put the NFL on notice. The Broncos have won four straight to improve to 5-5 after a 1-5 start that included a 70-20 victory over the Miami Dolphins in Week 3. As such, they currently have the longest winning streak in the NFL heading into tonight’s Monday Night Football game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs.
Jeudy isn’t the only Broncos player using Prime, either. Russell Wilson took off his Halloween costume to pay tribute to the Hall of Famer. The Super Bowl-winning quarterback also coached Shadelle Sanders in Boulder during the offseason.
Jeudy and the Broncos will continue their winning streak when they host the Cleveland Browns (7-3) on Sunday, Nov. 26. Game time is scheduled to air at 4:05 p.m. ET.
