Tom Brady discusses commitment to Fox

It sounds like retired quarterback Tom Brady is still committed to serving as Fox’s lead NFL analyst starting next season.

“I love preparing for this new opportunity with Fox and the broadcasters,” Brady explained Recently on “The Stephen A. Smith Show” on the Barrett Sports Media website. “(I’ve) talked to some amazing people and they’ve given me a lot of information and now it’s just about taking the time to really prepare and go out and give people what they want, which is to add my perspective to the game every week ”

Brady and Fox reportedly agreed to a 10-year, $375 million contract in 2022 before the seven-time Super Bowl champion decided to take a “gap year” from the NFL following his second retirement. Many in the sports world have publicly expressed doubts that Brady will ever become a full-time broadcaster, but he insists that just last month he was learning about the type of commentator he wanted to be while watching games at home.

“Of course, I love being a good teammate and I’ve surrounded myself with people over the years who have given me the right advice (and) taken me into the right areas to grow; if I hadn’t encountered those things, I There’s no way these things happen to specific people,” Brady told Smith. “I love health and longevity. I love sports and this is what I want to do for the rest of my life.”

Brady joked in October that his family would “kill me” if he strongly considered returning to the field again after turning 46 in August. It’s worth mentioning that former New England Patriots quarterback Scott Zolak reported this week that the Minnesota Vikings “contacted” Brady and learned that he was involved in Kirk Cousins. After suffering a torn Achilles tendon on October 29 and ending the season, he “no longer” continued to play.

Brady’s working relationship with Fox could “complicate” his desire to become a limited partner with the Las Vegas Raiders, but the situation could be resolved at a league meeting next month.
