Following the attempted invasion it began in February, Russia today carried out the largest major drone attack in history against Ukraine. Mayor Klitschko announced that Russia attacked Kiev with 74 drones.
Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced the Russian drone attack on Kiev. In his statement on his Telegram account, Kleko stated that a total of five people were injured in Saturday’s attacks, and that one of the injured was an 11-year-old girl.
It was also stated that many buildings were damaged as a result of the attacks that began in the early hours of the day.
200 buildings were left without electricity
The Ukrainian Ministry of Energy announced that after the attacks, about 200 buildings in Kiev, 77 of which were residential, remained without electricity.
According to data of the Ukrainian Air ForceUkrainian forces destroyed 71 out of 74 Russian drones. It was announced that 66 of the drones in question had been sent by Russia to Kiev and surrounding areas.
The Mayor of Kiev strongly condemned the attack and stressed that it is unacceptable for such actions to target civilians.
He also pointed out that the attack caused damage to many buildings and infrastructure in the city. He called on the international community to show a strong response against the attacks on Kiev.
