Cesc Fabregas’ wife Daniela Seiman has firmly denied reports in Brazil that Lionel Messi was unfaithful to Antonella Roccuzzo.
Brazilian specialty store Direto Do Miolo Posted to X on Friday Messi and Roccuzzo’s 15-year relationship is facing its “biggest crisis” to date.
They claimed the Inter Miami star was having an affair with Argentinian journalist Sofia Martinez and their marriage was on the verge of ending.
However, the Spanish source quoted by the tweet does not appear to exist.
In addition, Zeeman, who often vacations with Messi and Roccuzzo and is particularly close to the couple, insists that this speculation is incorrect.
Replying to the post on Instagram, she said: “What kind of publication is this, it makes no sense… and there is nothing right about it.”
Messi and Roccuzzo have known each other since they were five years old. They married in 2017 and have three sons: Thiago, Mateo and Ciro.
Last month, reports emerged in his native Argentina that Messi was “in love with a woman who is not Antonella”.
Some fans then speculated whether the woman was Martinez after he gave her an apparent “look” during an interview at the Golden Globes.
Martinez also made headlines at last year’s World Cup in Qatar, which Messi and Argentina went on to win.
After the semi-final victory over Croatia, Martinez gave a passionate speech when interviewing Messi.
She told him in the letter how grateful the Argentines were that he represented them and that it didn’t matter whether he won or not.
She said during the live broadcast: “The last thing I want to tell you, it’s not a question but I just want to say; the World Cup final is coming and, of course, we all (Argentines) want to win the trophy.
“I just want to tell you that no matter what the outcome, there is something that no one can take away from you, and that is that you resonate with Argentines, with everyone. I mean it.
“There’s no kid out there who doesn’t have your team jersey. Whether it’s fake, real or fabricated, it doesn’t matter.
“It’s true that you leave your mark on everyone’s life and for me that goes beyond winning any World Cup.
“No one can take that away from you and that’s my appreciation for the joy you brought to so many people.
“I sincerely hope you take these words to heart because I truly believe this is more important than winning the World Cup and you’ve got that, so thank you captain.”
