Cam Newton responds to Tom Brady’s comments about mediocre NFL quarterbacks

CNewton disagreed tom bradymost recently asserted current National Football League Quarterback performance was mediocre due to rule changes.

While acknowledging Brady’s extensive accomplishments, Newton dismissed criticism as unnecessary and suggested it should be accompanied by more humility.

“I thought Brady was doing some nasty things,” Newton said.

“Like, he can make a statement like that, but he doesn’t have to make a statement like that. He’s like a lot of mediocrity in the NFL today … and I’m like a brother.”

“Brady, with all due respect, a lot of people will never achieve what he’s been able to do in our lifetimes. You don’t see (Michael) Jordan do that. You know, you don’t see Tiger (Woods) in his career In my prime, I did that. But I’m just looking forward to more.”

It’s worth noting that Brady was criticizing the rules rather than the players themselves, but his past controversies, including Tucker Rule play, Deflategate, Spygate and favorable officiating decisions, have led some fans to question his perspective.
