Pope Francis revealed on Saturday that he was suffering from “bronchitis” and asked a collaborator to help him read a speech at the inauguration of the Judicial Year at the National Court of Justice in Vatican City, EFE reported.

“I have prepared the speech, but as you can see I cannot read it due to bronchitis. I asked Mr. (Filippo) Ciampanelli to read it,” the pope said in an affected manner The voice commented.
The French news agency added that despite the pope’s poor health, he had a private audience with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz at the Vatican, during which the president presented him with the official ball for this year’s European Cup to be held in Germany. .
