The new edition of the Cerveza Blues Festival is now coming alive in its ninth edition.
Thursday 20 July Programming will begin with the show “A Man Called Bob Dylan”, staged by Ezio Guatamachi, David Van de Suffros, Andrea Miro and Brunella Boschetti. A tribute to the legendary American singer-songwriter, punctuated by episodes and anecdotal stories who have marked his career with songs reproduced in an acoustic key.
friday 21By tradition, the place for the final of the “Road to Cervezza Blues” contest is contested between eight bands that have passed a record-breaking selection stage with participation from all over Italy and abroad. Competing for the title would be Black Cat Bones, Dirty Work, Lil Mama Blues, Mandarin Punch, Officine Blues, Ortica Blues, The Lamb Blues and The Root Workers.
saturday 22 Now it’s the turn of The Cinelli Brothers, a band formed by two Italian brothers (Marco and Alessandro Cinelli) who moved to London and that covers 60s blues, rock and soul. Winner of the UK Blues Challenge 2022 last September, he placed second in the International Blues Challenge in January and third in the European Blues Challenge, the blues equivalent of the Eurovision Song Contest, in June. The evening’s headliners will be preceded by performances by L&M, the Moscato Blues Band (winner of the “Road to Cervezza Blues” contest in 2022), Brothers John’s Jubilee, the Michele Biondi Band, and the Nick Baccatini Band.
Sunday the 23rd, For the grand finale, it will be the turn of Lachy Dooley, the rising star of New World Soul Rock, an Australian musician and composer of incomparable talent and originality, unique qualities capable of allowing him to be considered the greatest living Hammond player. The review “Il Cinema del Diavolo”, curated by director Stefano Leone, will preview the Cervezza Blues Festival: on the evening of Monday 17 to Wednesday 19 July (9.30 pm), at the Cinema delle Scuderi Granducali, three films will be shown that play a central role.
