Cliches can be found in all genres of cinema, but they are especially filled with horror films. After pointing out action clichés and romantic clichés, it was the turn of the horror genre. Get ready, the list won’t be short!

Classic cliché and, by now, hilarious. We are in a horror movie, something strange is happening and the heroes decide to split up! But why? “Unity is strength“Have they never heard of this? Obviously not.
The horror movie characters will split up to go see what’s going on and… they will die one by one like flies.
I’m going to see
An ominous noise, we know something is wrong, and the main characters of the film know it too. Run away! ed, but… no.
One of the brave characters goes to see what’s going on, perhaps unarmed, in order to be better killed.
Is anybody here?
Related to the cliche above. We continue, we are on the stage “going to watch – without weapons -” and I decide to ask if anyone is there. Now, please, logic: in a real situation, let’s say a thief or a murderer walked in, what do you think he would do? he would answer you “Lady, I’m a killer, I’ve come to kill you”? as well as in decorations supernatural “Hello, I’m a ghost demon, I was passing by to kill/possess you, can I?“
Switch the lights off
With all this … the light, you say, will not light up? Let’s hope! Objectively, in some films it is at least the decency to stage a storm that prevents a character from turning on the lights; many other films don’t.

No signal
Another classic cliché when –rarely– horror movie characters decide to call for help, for example, the police (because very often they don’t ask anyone for helpanother cliché), no signal.
Often the killer himself has cut the telephone line, or the electromagnetism or energy radiated by the spirit, demon, etc., makes all communication with the outside world impossible.

And last but not least, the main characters of horror, after all the terrible things that happen to them not once or twice, but countless times, besides be able to sleep at nightthey decide to stay in the place where all these terrible and scary things happen.
In fact, this would never happen… but, fortunately, these are just films.
