The area of the penthouse is 117 square meters, and another 46 square meters make up the sun terrace. The house had a renovated kitchen with white marble countertops and a master bedroom with adjoining private sun room, huge walk-in closet and spa-style bathroom. A particularly unique feature of the apartment was a glass block wall that separated the second bedroom from the living room. Johansson redid the apartment and put it up for sale nearly a decade later, reselling it two years later for a loss of $1.87 million in 2022.

Two years after their wedding, Scarlett Johansson and her first husband Ryan Reynolds bought a stunning Los Feliz mansion known as The Wong House for $2.9 million. Built in 1969 by architects Buff & Hensman, this mid-century, beamed mansion is still considered a landmark modernist home. The house had two bedrooms, three bathrooms, a dining room, a library, a saltwater pool, and an outdoor bathroom next to the master bedroom. Although Johansson and Reynolds announced their decision to separate in December of that year, they still worked together to profit from the property. The couple made improvements over the next few years, including adding solar panels for a greener lifestyle, before putting it back on the market for $3.65 million in early 2012. That same year it was sold for $3.5 million.

Meanwhile, Yost was on the rise in Saturday night life after several years of working behind the scenes as a supervisor. He shelled out $1.77 million for a 130-square-foot duplex in the West Village, a real bachelor’s home with whimsical details. The two-bedroom dwelling in the 1929 building featured a wood-burning fireplace, French doors and exposed brick, and a private courtyard that could be turned into an outdoor viewing room. A spiral staircase connected the two floors. However, after Yost and Johansson got married and had a son, Cosmo, in 2021, Yost put the apartment up for sale for $2.5 million, slightly more than he paid ten years earlier. The apartment eventually sold for $2.32 million in 2022.
