The Minister of Health of the Municipality of Labanda has launched an integrated health operation in the Mercantil community, where the residents of the area have access to various services provided by the commune free of charge.
The event, held Tuesday afternoon at the plaza on Quintana Street, offers free pet neutering, HIV, hepatitis and AIDS testing, as well as nursing, pediatrics, obstetrics and procedural information for adults, seniors and retirees.
On this occasion, Leonardo Jaimez Caro, Director of Health, commented: “We are located in the Mercantil Community and are working with the Social Development Authority on a comprehensive health initiative. We would like to thank the Mercantil Community Neighborhood Council The work being done by the Council and Neighborhood Council Committees to address the health concerns of residents living in this part of the city.
“We are providing medical clinic services, immunizations (calendar and COVID), HIV, hepatitis and AIDS testing, nursing checks, free pet neutering, and basic information for seniors and retirees.”
“This series of activities has been gradually carried out in different neighborhoods of Labanda and strategically organized through the neighborhood councils and the municipality to reach as many communities as possible,” he added.
“We also want to reinforce at this time of year the work that the health policy team has been doing in terms of talking about health education and basic care for children with epidemics and respiratory illnesses. So far, residents in every operation The response has been very positive, as they are able to access the above-mentioned services and the information we provide about basic healthcare and housing for free,” concludes Jaimez Caro.
