In The Prisoner’s Daughter, The Heir star Brian Cox plays a father who tries to get his daughter’s forgiveness despite past crimes.
It also stars Kate Beckinsale as her daughter Maxine and Christopher Convery as Ezra, the son of the woman at the center of the story.
Tyson Ritter plays Tyler, Ezra’s drug addicted father. Instead, Ernie Hudson will play Jon Huertas, whose details were not revealed.
The project was written by Mark Bacci and will tell the story of a man with a criminal past as he, along with his daughter Maxine and grandson, attempt to heal the generational trauma that marked their family and try to find a new path forward. Catherine Hardwicke returned to direct the project, which premiered at the 2022 Toronto Film Festival.
