FILM INFORMATION
Castle Rock Entertainment is busy making the sequel to Wind River Secrets, Taylor Sheridan’s 2017 film starring Jeremy Renner and Elizabeth Olsen. The directing helm has passed to Kari Skogland, with a partially announced cast that includes Jason Clarke, Scott Eastwood and Chaske Spencer.
Now other new entries have been made official and will participate in the film directly from some highly popular TV series such as Yellowstone – a show also signed by Taylor Sheridan – and Succession.
Joining Gil Birmingham who will reprise his role as Martin will also be Alan Ruck, Tatanka Means and Kali Reis. Birmingham worked with Sheridan also in Yellowstone and Hell or High Water.
Filming for Wind River 2 is underway in Calgary, Alberta, the Canadian location where the Wyoming Native American reservation, Wind River, has been recreated. Here is the description of the film:“Terror has increased on the reservation as a series of ritualistic murders remain unsolved. The FBI enlists the help of US Fish & Game recruit Chip Hanson, who in the wake of his appearance in Wind River becomes embroiled in a desperate fight and dangerous between the authorities, a vigilante and the reserve he calls home”.
