A few days before their wedding anniversary, Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth announced the shocking news of their own divorce. L’47-year-old actress and the husband 52-year-old manager they will end their marriage, as announced in a joint statement released on Friday, just days before theirs 12th anniversary of marriage, which will fall this Sunday.
“We have some personal news to share… It is with great care and consideration that we have taken the difficult decision to divorce“, they said. “We spent many wonderful years together and we are moving forward with deep love, kindness and mutual respect for all that we have created together.”
Reese and Jim started dating at January of 2010. In December of the same year they announced their engagement, and yes they married in an intimate ceremony a March of 2011 on her ranch in California. The pair share a 10 year old son named Tennessee Jamesborn on September 27, 2012.
“Our biggest priority it’s ours son and our entire family as we navigate this next chapter“, they added in the statement. “These matters are not never easy and I’m extremely personal. We really appreciate everyone’s respect for our family’s privacy at this time“.
Reese was previously married to fellow ‘Cruel Intentions’ co-star Ryan Philippe from 1999 to 2007, and shares his daughter with him Ava aged 23 and the son Deacon of 19. Following her divorce from Ryan, she dated her colleague from 2007 to 2009 Jake Gyllenhaal. A few months after the breakup, she met Toth at a party at a mutual friend’s house.
