Percy Jackson and the Olympians returned to show itself with a new suggestive teasers trailer, and for the occasion, the official release date was also announced. Against all odds, the long-awaited series based on Rick Riordan’s novels is actually poised to make its streaming debut on Disney+ as early as 2023.
There official synopsis from the series reads: The show will focus on 12-year-old Percy Jackson, who discovers that he is none other than the demigod son of Poseidon, the god of the sea in Greek mythology. Accused by Zeus of stealing his lightning, Percy will have to come to terms with his newfound otherworldly powers as he embarks on an adventure across America to find the lightning and restore order to Olympus..

Percy Jackson and the Olympians was sent James Bobin. Rick Riordan instead, he oversaw the writing of the pilot episode in collaboration with John Steinberg. All three also serve as executive producers and are joined by Dan Shotz, Rebecca Riordan, Bert Salke, Monica Owusu-Bryn, Jim Rowe, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Jeremy Bell and DJ Goldberg.
