Mix of languages for sharp, rebellious, dissident music. Voice M’Barka Ben Taleb it is modulated in Arabic, French, Neapolitan and combines different traditions, offering the audience a show literally without borders. “I have been living in Italy for 40 years, but I have not lost my Tunisian identity: after all, today we live in a global village, and therefore it is only natural to express oneself freely in several languages” – explains the artist at the end of the concert in roman square on the occasion of the opening of the 44th exhibition Benevento, city of entertainment.
Some time ago, love made her live eleven years in the Samnite capital, establishing a special bond with the city and its inhabitants, many of whom had gathered in the square yesterday to listen to her. This is where his only son was born. Fadeland M’Barka, with a touch of nostalgia, formulates a wish: “Benevento is wonderful. It’s a city of art with a rich history and I hope one day it gets better known, that’s what it deserves and what it really lacks.” Ben Taleb dedicated the song “Alto Calore”, written in 2005, to the territory of the Samnites, a “shout” as she put it, a hymn to water, a precious and irreplaceable element that must be protected. 
Superb musicians assisted on the stage – Archangel Michele Caso, Raffaele Vitiello, Gianluca Mercurio, Alessandro De Carolisand choristers Martha Carbone AND Sara Musella – M’Barca Ben Taleb entered his own expressive horizon by offering, among other things, stand-alone versions in whimsical form of famous Neapolitan songs such as “Independentemente”, “Nun te scurdà” (which he recorded with Rice), “Guaglione” ( included on the soundtrack of the film “Non c’è più religion” with Alessandro Gassman and Claudio Bisio), “Black Tammurriata”, as well as songs of the popular Tunisian tradition such as “Sidi Mansour”.
The eclectic singer and percussionist boasts numerous and significant collaborations with artists of the caliber of James Senese, Eugenio Bennato, Enzo Gragnaniello, Enzo Avitabile and many more. Remarkable film background: M’Barca has appeared in eight films, including Stanza dello sirocco with Giancarlo Giannini (which won her a silver disc) and Gigolo per caso – The Fading Gigolo with actors of this caliber. Woody Allen, Sharon Stone, Vanessa Paradis, John Turturro’s Passion written by Federico Vacalebre, a successful film for which she was awarded the Golden Gladiator in 2011. “I am pleased to remember many events in this sector, including the feature film “Toto Sapore and the Magical History of Pizza” with the Bennato brothers” concludes.
