Bárbara Bermudo talks about her health after implant removal

“I am the happiest woman in the world. My life has completely changed, I feel different, I feel reborn,” the Puerto Rican assured “People en Español”.

Her nightmares began in 2016, as she recalls, when gastrointestinal issues, four episodes of diverticulitis and a microperforation landed her in the hospital.

“I was tired, tired, and then my hair and nails started to weaken. My joints ached,” the presenter recalled.

Likewise, it details that “other inexplicable symptoms began to appear, such as hives or generalized rashes, urinary tract infections, and chronic sinusitis.”

He went from expert to expert and no one could help him. Every day, it gets worse and worse. “Sometimes I don’t want to get out of bed.”

“I know my body is talking to me, it’s saying, ‘Take care of me so you can take care of your family,'” she said.

“There’s only one step from anxiety to depression, and that’s what worries me: going into that alley that’s usually hard to get out of,” he admits.

She remembers arriving at the answer to adjuvant-induced autoimmune syndrome (ASIA), also known as breast implant disease, after months of investigation.

“My body is highly toxic from breast implants.” That’s why she decided to have her breast implants, which she’s had for nearly two decades, removed in February 2023.

Since then, she’s assured it wasn’t an easy process because while she was in the process of recovering, her father fell ill, but they managed to make progress.

“My family depends on me, my daughters depend on me and I know I have an unstoppable mission until I understand what is happening to me. God will give you in every trial we face in life goals,” he said.
