Spotify has published the rankings of the most listened summer songs in Italy and in the world. From the success of Cenere to the release of Mina with Blanco: without forgetting Peso Pluma and his Ella Bail Sol. Here’s who took first place.

Over the past few hours, Spotify has revealed most popular songs of summer 2023: The platform decided to share the most streamed songs from May 29 to August 21. In first place after the summer as the absolute main character on Spotify, also thanks to the virality of the song achieved on TikTok, is Vetri Neri. The Ava-produced song, starring Anna and Capo Plaza, is confirmed at the top of the standings, behind Hoe Tedua with Sphere Ebbasta and Fedez’s attempt with Annalisa and Article 31 at Disco Paradise. Vetri Neri is close to the current 65 million plays, Hoe is stuck at 55, and Disco Paradise from award-winning Fedez, Annalisa and Article 31 is at 42 million plays. Not in the top 5 on the platform, Italodisco by Kolors just a few days ago also received the Power Hits 2023 award.
Most Listened Songs of Summer in Italy on Spotify
Another feature that should be emphasized is the almost absolute presence of Italian artists in the top 20 most streamed songs, from Nuclear Tactical Penguins’ Rubami la notte to Angelina Mango’s We think about it Tomorrow, through Alfa’s Bellissimissima <3 and As you wish from Geolier: The only song from the Latin universe is Mirage, which, however, also contains the Sfera Ebbasta verse, which appears in several Top 20 songs. The first 10 places also have a song from the Sanremo Festival: second place in the competition. Cenere, also the most streamed song on the list with over 116 million streams on the platform, garnered most of the streams in its first months of publication and still shines in the Sanremo light. Spotify also released the most popular songs worldwide on the platform, confirming the arrival of Mexican peso Pluma, a new international star who also caught the attention of the European public thanks to the initiative of Argentinean producer Bizzarrap. His Ella Baila Sola, included in the Desvelado album, has collected more than 830 million plays. In second place, one of the main characters of the last three years moves to Puerto Rico: Bad Bunny. If she doesn’t take the lead this year, then she’s very close to success with “Where She Goes”: a new single released in 2023 has surpassed 415 million streams. And a very recent release, like BTS’s Jungkook’s Seven with Lizzo, took third place in the standings. The song has reached 538 million streams on the platform.
