The Flash: Merchandise reveals a new look of the Dark Flash

With the merchandising of The Flash now widely available, fans of the Universe A.D shared a new look at the film’s upcoming secondary antagonist, Dark Flash.

The images were posted on Reddit and show the Funko Pop! vinyl by Wonder Woman, Dark Flash, Batman, Supergirl And Barry Allen. Believed to be a twisted doppelganger of Barry Allen’s Ezra Miller, Dark Flash hasn’t been a part of The Flash marketing at the moment. Instead, his presence in The Flash has only been revealed through merchandise for the film, including a figure McFarlane Toys very detailed. Dark Flash’s suit is very different from either suit Barry Allen will wear as the Flash, and some fans have speculated that the Venom-like suit was created with General Zod’s Kryptonian technology.

Ben Affleck ruins Wonder Woman cameo

Vinyl Pop! also confirm the role of Wonder Woman in The Flashwhich was recently spoiled by Ben Affleck during his appearance on the Smartless podcast. Gal Gadot would reprise her role as Wonder Woman, but the Warner Bros. had not yet officially confirmed the inclusion of the actress in The Flash. According to Affleck, in the next DCU movie, his Batman “will be saved by Wonder Woman during a conflagration with some villains.” And she saves me, I’m sure the DC assassins will get me, but (…) she saves me with the Lasso of Truth. And so Batman reveals some of his true feelings about his life and his work… I was like, ‘Wait a minute, I’m here!’

The Flash will mark the last appearance of the Bruce Wayne/Batman by Affleck. Although the actor initially withdrew from the role after the poor reception of Justice League of 2017, Affleck agreed to return for the upcoming film. Though Affleck has revealed that he only appears for about five minutes on The Flash, he said it’s his best work as the Covered Crusader. “I finally figured out how to play that character (Batman) and I did it perfectly on The Flash,” she said in March 2023. “For the five minutes I’m there, it’s pretty awesome.”

Directed by Andy Muschietti, The Flash follows protagonist Scarlet Speedster as she travels back in time to prevent her mother’s murder. However, after altering the timeline, Barry Allen finds himself trapped in an alternate reality with no metahumans. To set things right, he teams up with an old man Batman (Michael Keaton) and with the castaway Kryptonian Supergirl (Sasha Calle) to save the new timeline from the forces of General Zod (Michael Shannon) and return to his universe.

The Flash will be released in theaters on June 16.
