With a post on Twitter Jason Blum announced that the film adaptation of Five Nights At Freddy’sa horror game created in 2014, will be released during the Halloween period on October 27th. Emma Tammi (The Wind. Blood Moon) will direct the film based on the popular game. Five Nights at Freddy’s follows a troubled security guard as he begins work at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. While spending her first night on the job, she realizes that the graveyard shift at Freddy’s isn’t so easy to accomplish. The film is written by Scott Cawthon, Emma Tammi and Seth Cuddeback. The film will be produced by Blumhouse in association with Striker Entertainment. Scott Cawthon and Jason Blum will produce the film. Russell Binder is an executive producer.

Matthew Lillard And Josh Hutcherson will be part of the cast, to which are added the new entries Mary Stuart Masterson, Elizabeth Lail (YOU), Piper Rubio (Unstable) And Kat Conner Sterling. Lillard will play William Afton, the main antagonist of the Five Nights at Freddy games, while Josh Hutcherson will play Mike Schmidt, the night security guard that players hire in the first game. Hutcherson is best known for portraying him in the hugely successful franchise, The Hunger Games, alongside Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, Stanley Tucci, Woody Harrelson and Elizabeth Banks. Earlier this year, Hutcherson completed filming on 57 Seconds with Morgan Freeman, Little Mouth with Dennis Quaid and Isabell Fuhrman and, more recently, The Beekeeper. Josh Hutcherson recently made his directorial debut on the short film Bee, of which he is also the protagonist. Hutcherson continues his passion for directing by directing music videos. Lillard recently starred in the NBC hit Good Girls with Christina Hendricks, Retta and Mae Whitman. He has appeared in big shows like Bosch, Billions, Halt, Catch Fire and many others. His previous films are the iconic Scream And He’s All That. Keep voicing “Shaggy” for the Scooby Doo franchise.
