CARD INFORMATION
After the announcement of production on an IT prequel series last February for HBO Max, work is proceeding at full speed, currently in the casting phase. The first names who will participate in the TV show with the title have been officially announced Welcome to Derryas Variety reported in the last few hours.
These are Taylor Page, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk and James Remar, who will play some of the protagonists of the television series.
Welcome to Derry will be insanely scary, according to the producer, and will tell the story that anticipates what was narrated in the films IT – Chapter One (2017) and IT – Chapter Two (2019), directed by Andy Muschietti, starring stars like Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy and Finn Wolfhard.
At the moment there is no news and information on the plot of the series, which should be set around the 60s.
Pennywise, played in the two films by Swedish actor Bill Skarsgård, peeps into the town of Derry every twenty-seven years and considering the 80s/10s setting between the twentieth and twenty-first centuries of the two films it is possible that the series is set in that decade.
In the Stephen King novel the time location is different, between the 50s and the 80s.
Director Andy Muschietti will direct some episodes of Welcome to Derry after bringing King’s famous book to the big screen for the first time.
