Senigallia 05/09/2023 – Conductors change, but the music is always the same. Dr. Stroppa, the new director for the next 3 years, contacted us back in mid-August and promised to meet. Several days passed, we called to arrange a meeting, but the answer was always the same: “See you soon”, no exact date.
But we have taken it as a commitment and we hope it will be for the new director as well, because public health is not waiting, as Dr. Storti, who has been appointed advisor to Saltamartini, has some unfinished business. We’re talking about the emergency room staff, cardiology, analytical lab, ENT, odontosomatology, radiology, the internal vitality of a hospital with catastrophic road surfaces and a supporter of pedestrian falls. And these are the most obvious critical problems, in addition to medical personnel, primarily doctors and nurses, as well as chronic OSS deficiency. Nothing has been done or decided for 6 months of negotiations, indeed we see that, as they say in sports, “the ball is thrown into the stands” or another promise is made to divert opinion. But not ours!!
Councilor Saltamartini launched Fast Truck in Ast2, Senigallia Jesy and Fabriano!! to keep the emergency room clean and make it easier for the Service to carry out its activities and lower expectations, there is a “switch” (since the commissioner speaks English we do it too!! ) which leads them to monospecialists. The intervention is performed by the Triage Nurse, who, after evaluation, activates this model, designed to respond to minor emergencies in the emergency department. It would seem a novelty, but the Expert Advisor must know that this path in Senigallia has always existed for small bone injuries to clear the hands, feet, ankles, wrists, which allowed the Triagista nurse to ask him to take an x-ray and then he was examined by a doctor; existed and exists in gynecology, pediatrics and ophthalmology.
It existed a lifetime ago for ENT and dentist, then closed, but never existed for surgery. Only in Covid, it also existed for surgery and cardiology for chest pain and atrial fibrillation, but there was no protocol, only an internal agreement, except Fast-Truck! Therefore, we do not see what the innovation of Assessor Saltamartini was, without having a department of ENT, odontostomatology and dermatology. We don’t really believe that he activated them, but instead we see that new proposals are being made, forgetting about the past ones. In surgery, then it is not known how they will do it, given that the department is understaffed. The solution is not in English but in Italian: more medical staff, doctors and nurses, and OSS Covid stabilization: more than 200 questions were received between nurses and OSS, but still nothing! In the meantime, Saltamartini’s expert is making predictions that will be real positive news for our hospital.
