Are Harry and Meghan Markle considering a move? It really looks like it. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex toured the grounds of their $18 million Malibu mansion, sparking speculation that the couple would like to leave Montecito and move the family closer to Hollywood.
Mega estate
The couple went to tour the estate over Labor Day weekend, sources told TMZ. It currently offers little more than an $8 million plot of land with a swimming pool already built and plans for a $10 million, 3,000-square-foot state-of-the-art home.
Montecito Mansion
Harry and Meghan have been living in their $14 million nine-bedroom mansion in Montecito since 2020.
New house with ocean view
The estate, which the Dukes of Sussex visited, is just 15 miles from Calabasas, where the Kardashians live. Markle’s mother Doria Ragland was photographed at a charity event with Kim Kardashian and her mother Kris Jenner. On the territory of Malibu, a gatehouse is already equipped, guarding the long path to the place where the main residence will be built. Perched above Broad Beach and the Pacific Coast Highway, the property will be a striking, ultra-modern main home with large windows and panoramic ocean views, according to visualizations. Brendan Brown of Westside real estate agency posted a listing for the property and promoted it on Instagram last month. “Incredible Malibu Development Opportunity: RTI Ready with Award Winning Architectural Drawings and Foundations Underway,” he wrote. “Right above the PCH and overlooking Broad Beach, this unbeatable lot offers the ultimate in privacy and is on offer for $8 million.” He said the property was 5.26 acres with 360-degree ocean views. “Completely fenced for privacy and security,” he added.
