Deadline recently reported the full breakdown of the film’s box office, which ranked fourth among the top grossing films of 2022 (ahead of Black Panther: Wakanda Foreverfinished fifth).
In the analysis published by the site, it was confirmed that the film proved to be a huge success for Warner Bros., generating over 280 million total profits against a total proceeds of 955.7 million dollars and a budget of 200 million.
Going into detail, takings in America were excellent, with ben 411.3 millionwhile in the various international markets it grossed 544.4 millions. However, it was not released in China, one of the most profitable markets in the world which presumably would have led the film to exceed one billion.
After removing the percentage allocated to exhibitors and the costs of distribution, Disney has earned 440 million total since the theatrical releaseto which they must be added 160 million coming from the sale of home video and others 180 million derived from streaming and television broadcasts. A total of 780 million entered the coffers of the major over time.
At the same time, between production (200 million), marketing, video and print campaigns (150 million), revenue shares and various interests, the film has stolen from Disney’s pockets 496 million total.
Precisely for this reason, by subtracting 496 million from 780 total, the long-term profit was 284 million total.
