Summary: “Jojo Rabbit” is the story of a sweet and shy ten-year-old German boy, Jojo Betzler, nicknamed “Rabbit,” who belonged to the Hitler Youth during the brutal years of World War II.

Jojo hates Jews, despite never having met them, and firmly believes that killing them is right.

Review
Jojo Rabbit is a film that can be very light and emotional at the same time. Light due to the comedic tone that runs throughout the film. In fact, he manages to elicit some genuine laughs.especially with the intervention of Yorkie (the main character’s best friend). What’s fascinating, however, is the themes explored and the way the story is told that even manages to move.. One of the most successful parts of the film is the contrast felt between the historical scenario and the modern genre, the constant search for anachronism that makes a German child of 1945 talk, move and sing like an American child of that time. 80. For example, in one scene, Jojo runs from home to the tune of the Beatles singing in German. Thus, the entire first part of “Jojo Rabbit” is a bomb of pacing and surprises, first of all, the director manages to present his world and the characters surrounding the main character very well.. For example, Waititi, the director, is very good at describing the Nazis surrounding the boy as a bunch of idiots, but also makes it clear that they are role models for JoJo. He, being so sensitive, is not really a good Nazi, and for this reason he will exaggerate and suffer greatly.. However, after this very nice introduction, the film loses a bit. When the time comes to stop introducing the script and tone and start telling the story, it’s not as bold as it was made out to be and becomes a more traditional thread, it rests a little on its laurels and isn’t as bold as it could be. have. However, this is a very beautiful film that can be watched in one sitting, and which will make you laugh and touch at the same time, which is not easy.
