Disney+ offers the film exclusively from September 22 No one will save you. A mix of psychological thriller and science fiction directed by Brian Daffyd and starring Kaitlyn Dever. The film tells the story of Brynn Adams, a creative and talented young woman who was separated from her community.

Lonely but hopeful, Brynn finds solace within the walls of the home she grew up in, until one night she is awakened by a strange noise coming from otherworldly intruders. What follows is a dynamic confrontation between Brynn and a series of alien creatures that threaten her future and force her to reckon with her past.

Written and directed by Duffield, the Disney+ film. No one will save you is a 20th Century Studios production distributed in the United States by Hulu and featuring music by composer Joseph Trapanese.

A mixture of drama and science fiction

No one will save youThe new Disney+ film focuses solely on Brynn’s character, whose painful backstory continues to haunt her. The reasons why she was ostracized remain a mystery at first, but it is clear from the beginning that Brynn fought hard to live peacefully. The battle with the aliens reflects and highlights the struggles he has faced since childhood, combining drama and science fiction.

“I wanted to focus on Brynn’s story and the alien invasion from the beginning; the two ideas worked together beautifully,” commented the director and screenwriter. Brian Duffield. “Because of everything that has happened to her, Brynn has become something of an outsider to her community and has overcome all her difficulties when the invasion of real aliens begins. To avoid being kidnapped, she is called upon to make enormous physical efforts: this way we will get to know her better, her strength and weaknesses.”

“I loved portraying a character who did everything she could to feel good in her life and then had everything taken away from her and put her back in a position where she had to rebuild her well-being,” he added.

Only one main character

No one will save you The role of Brynn is played by young actress Kaitlyn Dever, recently seen in Revenge of the Losers (Olivia Wilde’s first film as director). “Many elements of the script immediately attracted me,” commented Denver. “I already thought Duffield was a genius thanks to his past work, but in this case he outdid himself: it was just me and the special effects on stage. It was exciting, but at the same time different from anything I’ve played so far: it was a challenge in every way that tested my brain.”

One of the most intriguing aspects of the story is that there is very little dialogue. “Some of my favorite scenes in films in general are those where little or no words are said. I have always been fascinated by people, their behavior and reactions,” the actress continued. “Doing a film with almost no dialogue was incredible because I had to take in a lot of things. And to feel certain strong emotions without expressing them, you need to take a lot of risks, not only as an actress, but also as a person.”
