Scarlett Johansson had a hard time filming The Avengers
In an interview with Success magazine, Scarlett Johansson was asked what distinguishes her from those who deliberately complicate their already difficult lives. “Self-reflection,” she responded. Johansson said she welcomes adversity, but does so only after carefully thinking about the rewards it can offer. She stated that every project she took on was chosen with the confidence that it would bring her a personal sense of happiness.
Johansson said she has come to realize that, despite the inherent difficulties, the process itself fills her with delight. She explained that in the pursuit of greatness there is an element of discomfort, be it emotional or physical. In the context of superhero films, there is undoubtedly some pain involved. It’s a way of life that isn’t particularly enjoyable. However, it is the challenge itself that brings her happiness, not the end result.
Johansson said Success:
“Challenge: “How far can I go?” It’s like being in a play: “I don’t think I can survive this.” Or in The Avengers: “I’ll die halfway through this job.” Being able to do something that seems impossible makes me incredibly happy.”
She understands the enormous risks associated with this: the possibility of career failure and social shame on a global scale. So far, many of her endeavors have yielded impressive results, receiving valuable rewards in return.

Johansson said AP:
“I think in general it’s important to know your worth and stand up for yourself. And I think that in this industry… I’ve been working for so long, it’s been almost thirty years, and now I’ve seen this… you know, I think so much has changed in those thirty years. Some time ago, you might feel, “Oh my gosh, if I stand up for myself, I might never work again, or I’ll be blacklisted somehow.”
Johansson marked her first appearance in the Marvel Universe in the 2010 film. Iron Man 2, embarking on a franchise journey that spanned over a decade. Her tenure in the MCU ended in 2019, with her final portrayal in the film. Avengers: Endgame.
