If anyone knows what it’s like for a quarterback to change clubs so late in his career, it’s Tom Brady, who played 20 seasons with the New England Patriots before moving to Denver at age 42. Pawan.
On Monday’s SiriusXM show let’s go! On the podcast, Jim Gray asked Brady what impact this change would have on Rodgers heading into the new season.
“Well, it’s just, it has a different energy. It’s a freshness,” Brady said. “It’s a new beginning, try to bring all the good stuff to where you’ve been, bring all the benefits, and then don’t bring the painful lessons, you know? Because sometimes, unless you get over them, There’s always going to be painful lessons, you know? So like you’ve been in one place for years, I would say, there’s a lot of mental scar tissue, from losses or relationships or certain experiences. Oh, this guy once said Say this, or that teammate, or this coach, or that general manager.
“Now you go to a new place and you have nothing. So now you can hope to do your best because you know you may not have done everything you could in your old place, but you did your best. Now you can Going to a new place with a different type of emotional energy. I’m excited for him. He’s going to be full of energy. It looks like he’s having a great year. I know he’s been busy in the offseason, which is always great, And really trying to connect with his teammates. So I’m excited to see what he’s done. They’ve got a really good team. Their offense is really good. And, you know, when Aaron’s doing well , that’s the kind of receiver he is, man, it’s very dangerous… I think he’s going to have a good year.”
